The Nursing Operations Coordinator will help lead a NICU team that directly contributes to the high-quality care that this hospital is known for.
Reporting to the Neonatal ICU Nurse Manager, the NICU Nursing Coordinator will play an integral role in this unit.
This person will work closely with a tight knit team of Neonatal RN Specialists, NICU Providers, and support staff.
This Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit has over 30-beds, and has earned an excellent reputation for high performance and patient outcomes.
The NICU Nursing Coordinator will take on both operational and clinical responsibilities for the department, supporting a terrific leadership team and a wonderful team of Staff NICU RNs.
For the right person, this will be a great opportunity to put their clinical and organizational skills to work, serving as the operations heart of the Neonatal ICU, and earning valuable leadership experience.
Among other things, the NICU Operations Coordinator's primary duties will be:
Managing patient flow and schedules for the department, confirming daily staff assignments and ensuring the following day's schedule is prepared Serving as a Mentor to clinical NICU Staff Nurses, providing coaching assistance and performance management support throughout the department Assisting in assessing educational needs of the staff - assisting in development and implementation of educational resources Acting as a department leader - communicating case changes to applicable staff, and supporting the Manager and Director in executing departmental strategies Surrounded by the millions of acres of National Forests, with the majestic Rocky Mountains in the background, the Nursing Coordinator of NICU Operations will work and live in one of the most beautiful places in America.
